World Food Day on Thunderclap

Wednesday, October 16 is World Food Day. All over the world, organizations are working to create advocacy campaigns and awareness events to fight against hunger and shed light on developments happening in food security and agriculture.

1. World Food Day USA

This campaign was organized by the official World Food Day network. Join the conversation using the #hungerto hashtag!

2. It’s time to #WatchHungerStop

Designer Michael Kors has partnered with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to fight hunger. So far, the Watch Hunger Stop campaign has helped WFP deliver more than 1.7 million meals to children in need. Want to keep that number growing? Lend your voice to the campaign.

3. Reduce your foodprint!

Join the United Nations Regional Information Centre for Western Europe (UNRIC) in sharing ways to reduce food waste and decrease the size of your “foodprint.”
