I am indie.
I love the Internet. I love modern technology. I love to share, to learn, to grow, to connect…
I don’t love being your product.
I am not a thing to be mined and farmed and sold.
I am not your lab rat.
I am a person.
I have rights and I have freedoms.
I will protect them.
So, Google, Facebook, Yahoo!, Microsoft, … I say no to your spyware.
I want technology that protects our freedoms, human rights, and democracy, not technology that erodes them.
I want technology that I own and control, not technology owned and controlled by corporations.
I want independent technology.
I’m an individual.
I am independent.
I am indie.
It’s time to move beyond the clouds.
Clouds are centralised. They’re owned and controlled by someone else. And they can spy on you.
We are building a new post-cloud platform where you are the network.
It’s called the Indienet.
Project Stratosphere is a multi-year project that will culminate in the release of an independent smartphone.
It’s not an all-or-nothing moonshot.
We are not waiting for the phone to be released to launch the network and the ecosystem. And yet every decision we take in the design and development of the network and the ecosystem takes the design of the phone into consideration.
We’re starting this year and when the phone is ready it will simply be the best way to participate in an already-thriving Indienet.
What you can do
Lend us your voice! Send a simple message from your spyware* accounts on November 8, 2014 to support our launch.
With your help, we can develop independent alternatives so you won’t need spyware accounts in the future.
