Chronic pain in kids is severe and unrelenting. Unlike acute pain, such as a broken bone, chronic pain does not heal with time. Instead, the pain continues to intensify and without proper treatment kids can slide into disability and depression. Despite this, chronic pain in kids does not receive any funding from the QLD government for proper healthcare services. Support Kids in Pain
(SKIP) is a not-for-profit team of doctors, nurses, and therapists who volunteer their time to fill this gap in available treatment. With increased awareness and funding SKIP could widen their free treatment program to help more kids across QLD suffering with chronic pain.
This is where you come in.
You can support kids in pain by joining The Jump for Joy
. The Jump for Joy is to raise awareness of chronic pain in kids and generate an online petition to pressure the QLD Government for funding. Simply upload a short video of someone skipping to your Instagram, Twitter, or upload your video directly here https://social.skip.org.au
hashtag to add your support to the petition. It's that easy!
Together we help kids in pain to run, skip, and jump for joy once more.
