Thousands of Rohingya people are fleeing violence at home in Myanmar every day.
The massive influx of arrivals and the lack of access to safe water, food, shelter and sanitation are increasing the risk of hunger, suffering and the spread of disease.
Since August 25, more than 600,000 Rohingya people have crossed into Bangladesh, resulting in an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
Approximately 80 percent of those fleeing are women and children. Without humanitarian aid, their lives are at risk.
Members of the Humanitarian Coalition are on the ground helping these families, but your help is urgently needed.
The Government of Canada’s Myanmar Crisis Relief Fund will match your donation up until November 28, so you can have twice the impact!
The Humanitarian Coalition, Canada’s only joint response to international disasters and emergencies, is made up of seven leading humanitarian agencies: Canadian Lutheran World Relief, CARE Canada, Islamic Relief Canada, Oxfam Canada, Oxfam-Québec, Plan International Canada, and Save the Children Canada. The members of the Humanitarian Coalition work together to reduce unnecessary competition, better educate the public on humanitarian needs, increase the impact of Canadian humanitarian responses and reduce administrative costs. Collectively, our members are present in 150 countries.
