Support IGM on Patreon July 8!

The Indie Game Magazine (http://indiegamemag.com/) is made up of a small team that works hard to showcase an amazing community each and every day, and now we need your help!

With the support of the community, we can not only continue operating IGM, but also expand and improve, bring some new (and familiar) writers on board, and in turn do an even better job of spotlighting the indie gaming scene. It's not just about full scale print distribution or expanding the Magazine page count, we have a number of projects we want to work on. (Time-consuming, thought-provoking OpEds and industry commentaries, dedicated mobile coverage, indie-centric apps, resource centers, we've got big ideas!)

We hit goal today! Woohoo!! Thanks so much to everyone who has signed up to lend their voice to our campaign. It means a lot to the IGM team.

I decided to hold off on upping the goal to 250. Thunderclap says it looks more impressive, but honestly I'm just happy we hit the 100+ supporter mark. Perhaps if we start getting closer to 200, I'll consider it. But either way, the campaign is a success and it's not something to worry about.

Thanks again everyone! Now all that's left to do is keep our fingers crossed for a successful Patreon on July 8.

    Best wishes,

  • Can we hit goal this weekend?

    June 12, 2015
    Hey everyone,

Thanks for supporting the campaign so far! I chose the lowest tier of 100 supporters just because we fit the description Thunderclap provides of a smaller business. But since our Thunderclap message will be sent out regardless of whether or not we reach the target "goal" (because we paid for that particular feature), I was thinking we should try our luck and kick it up a notch to the 250 supporter tier.

With that in mind, I'd like to try and hit our first goal by the end of this weekend. It shouldn't be too hard to find 25 more people willing to spread the word about IGM, but I'll be relying on you guys to help me reach a new audience outside of IGM's typical reach. So if you've got some spare time to put a tweet/Tumblr/Facebook post together about the campaign, I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks for enlisting in the Indie Armada!
  • Thanks for a great first 24 hours!

This is just a quick message to say THANK YOU to everyone who chose to support the Thunderclap during the first 24 hours. We've got a long wait unto the launch of our Patreon, but we wanted to get a head start on promoting the campaign considering the all-consuming E3 storm is fast approaching.

You've already done a lot for us already, but I just wanted to encourage everyone to share the link with any friends/family/colleagues who are interested in indie games. And remember, you can register with more than one social media account, so if you've got a Tumblr and a Twitter account, you can help us twice as much by registering both!

Thanks for supporting IGM! Each and every voice makes a world of difference :)

    Forever grateful,
    Vinny and the IGM team
