We launched Baltic View in December 2016 as a way to promote Baltic cinema worldwide. It’s an online cinema space that gives people the opportunity to watch the best films from the region. For the first time in the history of film industry Baltic View creates a unified international access and bring Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian films under one Baltic Cinema flag. The films we choose reflect how Baltic people see the world. Those movies are powerful and critically acclaimed stories about love, war, unity, respect and hope.

Since the start of the project we’ve handpicked more than 50 documentaries, fiction films and animated films and attracted viewers from half of the world’s countries. We also started organizing cinema events in European capitals. We just finished a successful Baltic View Season in London, and more Cinema Events are to follow in Dublin, Berlin, Brussels, Rome, Stockholm.

Baltic View helps us to unite Baltic people abroad and tell other communities about Baltic culture and the way of life. To celebrate the growth of this project we decided to give everyone the opportunity to get a taste of what Baltic cinema’s all about.

  • Films by young promising directors on Baltic View!

    Every week till Christmas Baltic View will show a new film by a rising talent from Lithuania!

    We partnered with the Skalvija Film Academy,  a pioneering initiative in Vilnius (Lithuania) where young people come not only to learn about film from a theoretical side, but also have their first exposure to the practical side of filmmaking. Together with the programme curator we chose a number of shorts. Check out the first three on our vimeo channel:
