Be part of the loudest call for peace the world has ever seen on one day - Peace Day, 21 September!
Founded in 1999 by filmmaker Jeremy Gilley, the non-profit organisation Peace One Day drove the initiative that led to the unanimous adoption by the United Nations member states of an annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence on 21 September – Peace Day.
On Peace Day 2013, Peace One Day will present a 24-Hour Global Broadcast on YouTube including incredible live content from all around the world to raise awareness and drive action for Peace Day. This will include a historic concert in front of the Peace Palace in The Hague, as well as contributions from leading actors and musicians, and individuals and organisations from around the world working for peace on every continent of the globe. We are keen for as many people as possible to tune in and share this incredible experience with us and that’s where we need your help…
Lets unite around the world on 21 September in the name of peace. As many people as possible all shouting out for peace at the same time will let the world know how important it is to work towards a peaceful and sustainable future.
So please sign up to ensure as many people as possible are tuning into the 24-hour broadcast for peace. Together we can make it the loudest message the world will hear on 21 September 2013!

@JeremyGilley
Jeremy Gilley is an actor turned filmmaker, who in the late 1990s became preoccupied with questions about the fundamental nature of humanity and the issue of peace. He decided to explore these through the medium of film, and specifically, to create a documentary following his campaign to establish an annual day of ceasefire and non-violence.
In 1999, Jeremy founded Peace One Day, a non-profit organisation, and in 2001 Peace One Day’s efforts were rewarded when the member states of the United Nations unanimously adopted the first ever annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence on 21 September – Peace Day.
