by The White House category: Cause
Since the tragic shooting in Newtown, Connecticut just over 100 days ago, gun violence has killed more than 2,000 Americans. And every day we wait to do something about it, more lives are lost.
In January, President Obama announced a series of executive actions to help keeps our kids and communities safe, and put forward a set of commonsense proposals for Congress to consider that can make a real difference in protecting our citizens from gun violence. But they are only going to act on them if they hear from the American people.
If you want to do something to prevent future tragedies like the one in Newtown, now is the time to act. Now is the time to get engaged and get involved. Now is the time to make your voice heard.
