HAITI is the poorest place in the western hemisphere. It’s plagued with hunger, disease, death, and destruction – and some 400,000 Haitians are still living under tarps and tents since the January 12, 2010 earthquake.
Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ) is a unique fundraising effort founded by Paul Haggis and friends whose mandate is to encourage peace and social justice by addressing issues of poverty. APJ work with other charities and NPO’s in Haiti and are focused on building schools and providing ongoing relief support.
What makes APJ unique? 100% of ALL funds received from the general public go directly to support our programs in Haiti. NO public funds are used in our administration of these activities.
Please consider helping APJ to raise awareness, support, and donations for their efforts in rebuilding Haiti.
It's relevant, topical and worthy of our attention because the need in Haiti is greater then most other areas on the planet. Moreover, I applaud APJ's 100% policy related to donations - it ALL goes to the cause.
