Last year was the hottest in U.S. history. This year can and must be the year our nation meets our obligation to future generations by leading the effort to face the threat of climate change.
On President’s Day, February 17, tens of thousands of Americans will descend on Washington, D.C. to make #ForwardOnClimate the largest climate rally in U.S. history.
At the exact same time, you can join a massive, nationwide display of solidarity by joining their call for climate leadership on Facebook and Twitter. Together, we will deliver a clear message to President Obama that we demand action and stand ready to help face this challenge.
In his inaugural address to the nation, the president declared action on climate change to be an obligation: “We will respond to the threat of climate change, knowing that the failure to do so would betray our children and future generations.”
They were powerful words, but we need powerful action to back them up.
Over the past year, we’ve endured crippling drought. Devastating wildfires. Superstorm Sandy. Lives lost. The solutions to climate change are known. All that’s missing is the political will.
Move America #ForwardOnClimate. Join our rally online today.
Forward On Climate
On February 17, Forward On Climate will be the largest climate rally in U.S. history. We have an obligation to future generations to take strong action to address climate change to protect ourselves from more extreme weather like drought, wildfires, and hurricanes and to prevent the health risks resulting from climate change.
