Help the Mojave Dolphins

The attraction called "Secret Garden" at the Mirage Hotel states that they take excellent care of their dolphins, however it seems to us that the mortality rate of these animals is very high.

All of the dolphins in this facility are experiencing "Pox Virus" a highly contagious disease. http://bit.ly/1u09QOA  Check the video, look at the time stamp at 6:47 you will see round marking all over this one dolphin body. Pox virus is caused by stress and other factors and conditions.

We believe that these bottlenose dolphins are subjected to extreme temperature changes, from extreme cold (snow flurries) to extreme arid, dry conditions and pollution from a nearby highway. The pool is located in the heart of Las Vegas and specifically next to a busy highway. If you lived next to constant gas fumes from thousands of automobiles, you’d develop respiratory problems too!

This exhibit has been the death sentence for many wild and captive-born dolphins. The deaths are registered here: http://www.ceta-base.com/phinventory/dph/dph_mdh.html . It is known as the death pool.

These beautiful sentient being belong in the ocean, not in middle of the desert. If they are truly a research and educational facility they would not need to be located in the Las Vegas strip.

We understand that dolphins who are born in captivity will not be able to be released in the ocean. However, we believe that the era of marine mammal captivity for human entertainment is over. We are no longer amused with dolphins performing unnatural behaviors.

This Thunderclap will coincide with a tweet storm event happening at the same time on facebook and we hope that you will join us.

The voice for the dolphins that cannot speak for themselves. Those that are kept captive in horrid conditions, stolen away from their family and forced to perform. Those that are born in captivity that may never experience rhythm of a tides and the gentle sway of the sea. The voice for the voiceless.
