Every day, 1,500 people die in armed conflicts around the world – one person every minute. It's insane that bananas have more global trade regulations than weapons.

Stop Arming Human Rights Abuse
Last year, the U.S. walked away from a chance to keep human rights abusers from getting weapons. This month President Obama can help set things right as Arms Trade Treaty negotiations take place in New York March 18-28.

It's insane that weapons continue to flow into the hands of human rights abusers with so little regulation! The world's most powerful countries must put human rights before profits. If enough people keep the pressure up, we have a real chance of getting the Arms Trade Treaty passed.

The keys to a strong Arms Trade Treaty are in President Obama’s hands. Last year the administration stalled negotiations following a campaign of lies and disinformation by the NRA and the gun lobby. But this March we have another chance to pass a treaty with strong human rights safeguards.

An Arms Trade Treaty that will help prevent more children recruited as soldiers, more women raped in conflict zones, more mass displacement, and more senseless deaths. And a treaty that, despite NRA lies, will have no impact on gun rights in the US.
