Founded in Iowa by a few parents of children
diagnosed with cancer in Iowa in 2009, our organization has continued to grow
in strength and numbers. Our goal
remains the same:
The mission of BeatCancerToday.org is to raise awareness of childhood cancer and provide financial support for continued childhood cancer research and patient and family support programs.
Beat Cancer Today is proud to make financial donations to its chosen charities. Funds have been given to CureSearch for Children's Cancer (www.curesearch.org), the Children's Cancer Connection (www.childrenscancerconnection.org), and Dance Marathon at the University of Iowa Children's Hospitals and Clinics (http://dancemarathon.uiowa.edu).
It is estimated that 46 children are diagnosed with cancer each and every day in our country. While cure rates have continued to improved, 1 of 5 children diagnosed will not survive their cancer. Nearly, every elementary school has at least one child affected by cancer.
We would like to invite you to support the fight against childhood cancer by celebrating September as National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. You can find BEAT CANCER t-shirts and bracelets for sale on our website at www.beatcancertoday.org!
My name is Aaron Horn. My 7 year old son, Eli Horn (www.elihorn.com), passed away in January after over 4 years of battling Neuroblastoma and Leukemia. I am the President of Beat Cancer Today, Inc. and I know that it takes the dedication and passion of PEOPLE to raise enough money to properly research cures for childhood cancer.
