We say NO to NHS bursary cuts!
Healthcare degrees are like no other. They are divided between 50% academic work and 50% placement hours.
While on placement students work full time, regardless of weekends or bank holidays, sometimes missing out on breaks for NO money.
Cutting the bursary will mean students are laden with up to £50k debt by the time they finish, and half of their 2/3 year degree will be spent doing UNPAID work.
As students we deserve our bursary for our dedication and professionalism towards our patients, our society, our colleagues and our NHS.
On the 9th of January students and supporters will march to Westminster.
In the run up to this important day we want to build momentum and raise awareness.
Hands off our bursaries!
