30 Easy Emergency Prep Ideas

Help our Fairfax County community become more prepared! Government alone can't be ready for emergencies. We need you, your family, your co-workers and others to be prepared.

But we need your help amplifying these 30 easy ideas through your social networks and our community.

If you agree this is a good idea, then simply donate a Facebook post or tweet and the message above with the link for these 30 ideas will be shared with your social networks on Sept. 9 at 11:30 a.m. -- creating a social ripple through our community and around the country (these ideas are applicable anywhere).

What Will Happen on Sept. 9?

  • If we reach our goal, this message will be automatically posted on your Twitter, Facebook and/or Tumblr accounts at 11:30 a.m. along with everyone else who supports emergency preparedness: "I will accomplish 1 of 30 easy, practical emergency preparedness ideas. Read the tips here #fairfaxcounty #NPM13"

Emergency preparedness can be easy. While it’s often perceived as a huge effort, it’s the little things you can do that add up to being better prepared for any type of emergency.

In that spirit, we offer these 30 ideas for you to consider in 30 days, 1 week or all in 1 day!

Your dedication to preparing your home, business and family helps build a stronger, more resilient community.
