Ending Prison/Poverty Pipeline

Each year an average of 630,000 people are released from state and federal prisons. For many, their prison record will be a life sentence of poverty and wages. A new report, Jobs After Jail, analyzes the impact of policies that reduce employment opportunities for people who have served jail or prison sentences, especially opportunities for good paying jobs. These barriers are preventing the chance for these people to meet their potential.
