Now it is time to Jam

We invite everyone online to join and contribute in collectively reflecting on today’s role of artists and intellectuals.

Borrowing the concept from the jazz world, a Jam Session is an event, a web site, an open space, a tool, a discussion and more all wrapped into a 72- hour exchange of ideas on issues that are relevant. Already experienced by different types of organisations (from the United Nations to IBM), a Jam Session is organised to facilitate discussions among participants around “always evolving” topics, with the goal of collectively tackling them in a defined period of time.

Are artists and intellectuals obliged to engage in society and politics today Why?

For 72 hours (April 27-29), we will encourage voices and thoughts to be mixed and exchanged. By everyone who wants to contribute.

The outcome: a collective understanding of the “state of the art”, collecting inputs from different parts of Europe. And, in addition, a new experiment for a truly dynamic European conversation in an historical moment in need of deeper connectivity.

    April 26, 2016
    Dear All,
Greetings from the Jam HQ in Gdansk and thanks for your support!
FYI we have re-schedule our "massive" buzz on the Jam Session: our campaign will take place automatically on Wednesday at 9.00 am CET, when we will officially open Jamm'Art.
This will allow us to synchronise other communication activities that we are planning in order to gather online as many Jammers as possible.
    Because every voice counts.
    See you soon, online.
