Tell the world: #IAMSUDEPAWARE
Each year an estimated 1 in 1000 people with epilepsy die from SUDEP, or Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy. To give a sense of scale, there are approximately 65 Million people around the world living with epilepsy. Sadly, many are unaware that they are at risk of SUDEP.
That's why SUDEP Aware, Living Well With Epilepsy and Lundbeck have joined forces to shine a spotlight on the need for more SUDEP awareness. This is your opportunity to help spread the word on SUDEP Awareness Day, which is October 23. Tell the world “#IAMSUDEPAWARE” by supporting the first ever Thunderclap dedicated to raising SUDEP Awareness.
Lundbeck will donate $1 for every tweet (including RTs) using the hashtag #IAMSUDEPAWARE between September 23 through October 23 for a maximum donation of up to $5,000. Donations will be made directly to SUDEP Aware, a Canadian charity, founded in 2008. Your participation in this Thunderclap can have a direct impact on SUDEP.
