This November 2nd is Vitamin D Day!
Vitamin D deficiency is estimated to affect 40% of the worldwide population. Vitamin D Day is a day to recognize vitamin D deficiency as a worldwide problem.
Why are so many people deficient? We get most of our vitamin D from sun exposure. And now, more than ever, people are living an indoor lifestyle, avoiding the sun daily.
Why is this so important? Doctors and researchers are beginning to discover that vitamin D deficiency is a risk factor for many diseases, including heart disease and cancer.
This Vitamin D Day, take the time to learn more about vitamin D deficiency and help spread awareness and knowledge on the issue.
