About CHILD'S PLAY:
Second grade teacher Elle Harrison, still plagued by the death of her husband two years ago, is determined to move on. Getting ready for the first day of school, she finds that one of her students is the younger brother of Ty Evans, a former student who has just been released from Juvenile Detention for the murder of his abusive father. Soon the school principal is killed, as are others connected to Ty, and Ty's brother shows up at school with bruises all over his body, indicating that he's being abused. As Elle reports the abuse to authorities, Ty turns to Elle, confiding that she's the only adult he's ever trusted. Later, Elle herself is assaulted. Has Ty attacked her? Is she the next intended victim of a serial killer? There are other suspects, too: a too aggressive realtor, a skeezy janitor, a predatory ice cream man--Danger and creeps are all around, Elle's life is in jeopardy, and her fundamental beliefs about family, friends, childhood and innocence are challenged.
