What is “Supporting”?
Supporting a Thunderclap campaign is like signing a petition but with the added power of simultaneously sharing a message. You and every other supporter are standing up for an idea with the power of your voice.
How do I support?
Choose between your Twitter, Facebook, or Tumblr account to grant Thunderclap permission to post a message on your behalf. That’s it! If the campaign reaches its support goal by the deadline, Thunderclap will automatically post your message and all other supporters' messages at the same time.
A note on privacy
When you log into Thunderclap using your Twitter, Facebook, or Tumblr account, you’re allowing our platform to share a single message on your behalf. That’s all. We use the absolute minimum permissions possible to post a message on your behalf. The platforms we integrate with sometimes include additional permissions that we do not use and we will not post anything from your friends' accounts.
Let’s make London the world’s first National Park City. A city where people and nature are better connected. A city that is rich with wildlife and every child benefits from exploring, playing and learning outdoors. A city where we all enjoy high-quality green spaces, the air is clean to breathe, it’s a pleasure to swim in its rivers and green homes are affordable. Together we can make London a greener, healthier and fairer place to live.
Together we can make London a National Park City!

London can become a National Park City once the Mayor of London and two-thirds of the capital's 654 elected ward teams have declared their support.
So far our movement has the support of the Mayor of London and 50% of the wards that we need. That's incredible progress, but we need over 200 more elected ward teams to declare their support for the campaign to be successful. We need your help to reach these councillors and ask them to back London to become a National Park City!
Please use your social power to turn this big vision into a reality by doing this three simple things:

Back our new Thunderclap to go out during Countryfile!
July 27, 2017
At 8pm on Sunday the first every BBC Countryfile on cities is going to be shown on BBC One. The great news is that the London National Park City campaign will feature right at the start of the programme. Show your support for the London National Park City by backing this new Thunderclap and let viewers know how to find out more. The more people who support this Thunderclap the more people we will collectively reach.
Our Thunderclap now has now been supported by 226 people and has a social reach of 1,031,593 people. Wow!
Together we have the opportunity to make our capital radically greener, not just physically... but politically, culturally, emotionally and psychologically. This would not only have benefits for London, but cities across the UK and internationally too.
With 6 days to go there is still time to make our message heard by even more people. Please do share our Thunderclap page with your networks on Twitter, Facebook and elsewhere. We tweet at @LondonNPC and use the hashtag #NationalParkCity.
Thanks for all your support so far.
Let's make London a National Park City!
Let's reach 1 million people. Let's make London a #NationalParkCity!
February 16, 2017
171 people have now backed our Thunderclap. This is great news as it means that our message will be seen by as many 583,100 people!
Let's see if we can increase that number to 1,000,000 people. Help by sharing this Thunderclap on Twitter and Facebook. Tweeting and messaging specific people who you think would like to support it will be especially effective.
We have 19 days left. Together we can make London a #NationalParkCity!
Thank you! 100% backed in just 1 day... so we've doubled our target.
February 10, 2017
Thank you to everyone who has backed our Thunderclap so far. With your help, we've managed to hit our target of 100 backers in just one day. Wow.
This means that we will get our National Park City message to as many as 226,552 people. That's roughly the population or Aberdeen or Norwich!
To help the National Park City campaign reach even more people, we've just doubled our Thunderclap target and are now looking for 200 backers. Let's see if we can double our reach!
If you've not already done so, please do share our Thunderclap on Twitter and Facebook. Here's the link:
