#CleanEnergyMoonshot

The race of the 20th century was to put a man on the moon.

Now, we're in the most important race of the 21st century, and all centuries following: the race AGAINST the clock toward climate disaster, or the race TOWARD a clean energy future.

A generous donor has pledged to match all donations – dollar for dollar – up to $50,000, but only from now until March 10th.

Act now and your gift to Rocky Mountain Institute will be doubled – providing twice as much to sustain our efforts to drive the global market-led energy transition.

ABOUT ROCKY MOUNTAIN INSTITUTE
35 years ago, our Co-Founder and Chief Scientist Amory Lovins published his visionary article Energy Strategy, The Road Not Taken? in Foreign Affairs—the publication's most reprinted article to date. In this article, Lovins introduced the concept of 'Soft Energy Paths', emphasizing the need for energy efficiency and renewables over coal and fossil fuels. This inspired RMI's founding.

Now, our 150+ person team works everyday to:
  • Transform transportation to move people and goods that economies depend on using significantly less oil focusing on personal mobility solutions, trucking, shipping, and aviation
  • Decarbonize electricity systems to make our energy sources cleaner, more equitable, and more resilient.

  • And catalyze efficient buildings by driving the adoption of superefficient and net-zero carbon buildings, districts, homes, and portfolios to make buildings better for owners, occupants, and the environment.
