Speak out against GMO awards

This year's World Food Prize will be awarded to three chemical company executives, including Monsanto executive vice president and CTO, Robert Fraley. This is an outrage and we need your help to speak out!

The stated mandate of the World Food Prize is that they will emphasize "the importance of a nutritious and sustainable food supply for all people."

Yet despite all the promises of what GMOs are supposed to give to the world, studies show that they have not made more nutritious food, increased yields, reduced pesticide consumption, or made for a more sustainable food supply.

Monsanto did, however, donate $5 million to the World Food Prize just a few years ago.

There have already been dozens of influential voices who have spoken out in opposition to this decision to reward GMO executives, but we need you to join our ThunderClap, invite all of your friends and family, and help us send a message that resonates across the world at the exact moment that the World Food Prize is handed out to three GMO executives.

This is an online experiment in mass mobilization.  Make your voice heard!

We need your help to pressure the World Food Prize so that they know that GMO executives aren't heroes, and the last thing they deserve are awards.

Please signup for our ThunderClap and make sure to spread the word so more people can speak out against GMO awards!

Monsanto is spending tens of millions of dollars trying to keep us in the dark about what we're eating. Meanwhile, their practices have contributed to 250,000 farmer suicides in India, and have been causing widespread damage to our water, the gene pool, and perhaps even our health. Enough is enough! The GMO Mini-Summit is a free online initiative to give you the truth about genetically engineered foods and what you can do to protect yourself, your family and your planet.
