Recent proposed budget cuts will eliminate afterschool and summer learning program funding and we need your help fast. It’s up to Congress to counter the cut—or execute it and eliminate programs relied on by families across the nation to keep kids safe and engaged. Nearly two million children and families would be left without reliable afterschool choices.
59,746 kids of Florida's K-12 children participate in afterschool/summer programs supported by the U.S. Department of Education's 21st Century Community Learning Centers initiative, the only federal program dedicated to afterschool. If we do not speak up, these programs will be taken away.
