We're bringing the wonderful old Leith Theatre back to life after nearly 3 decades, and we need your help to announce the official opening. Think of it as a virtual ribbon-cutting ceremony - and you're holding the scissors!
Returning for its fourth edition, Hidden Door (a non-profit and 100% volunteer-run multi arts festival) presents 10 days and nights of music, theatre, visual art, film, poetry, spoken word and special events - all bringing the stunning venue back to life in spectacular fashion.
Left derelict and decaying for 28 years, we will provide the initial spark to get this art deco gem back up and running as a major Edinburgh arts venue and transform its empty spaces with the help of some of the best creative talent from Scotland and beyond.
We need YOUR help to make some noise as we open the doors to the first night. Sign up for this Thunderclap to join voices across the city and beyond in officially announcing the opening of Hidden Door 2017 at 6pm on Friday 26 May.
PLUS we've got some very special prizes for a few lucky winners selected from everyone who signs up. Simply connect your Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr account using the buttons above. Thank you!
Hidden Door, Edinburgh
Hidden Door is an arts organisation which aims to open up urban spaces as a platform for new and emerging artists, musicians, theatre makers, film makers and poets. Through organising temporary events Hidden Door works to showcase new work and create engaging environments for the public to experience, explore and discover. The project is 100% volunteer run and non-profit.
Returning for its fourth edition, Hidden Door will this year take place in the old Leith Theatre; with 10 days and nights of music, theatre, visual art, film and spoken word bringing the stunning venue back to life.
