FASD Awareness Day 2017

September 9th is International FASD Awareness Day, in commemoration of the nine months of pregnancy. FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders) is 100% preventable when a pregnant woman abstains from alcohol. There is no known safe amount or type of alcohol while pregnant. Join NOFAS as we recognize Sept. 9th as FASD Awareness Day, as well as September as National FASD Awareness Month.

NOFAS works to prevent prenatal exposure to alcohol and other substances of abuse known to harm fetal development by raising awareness and supporting women before and during their pregnancy, and supports individuals, families, and communities living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASDs) and other preventable intellectual/developmental disabilities.
