June 27 is
National HIV Testing Day, a day to promote HIV testing and HIV prevention. This
year’s theme is Test Your Way. Do it
Today. On this day, we unite with federal partners, health departments, community
organizations, and individuals to raise awareness about the many ways to test
for HIV – in a clinic, through your health care provider, at a testing event,
at home, or from a local organization.
More than 1.1 million people aged 13 and older in the United States are living with HIV, and about 1 in 7 do not know they are infected. HIV testing is the only way for those living with undiagnosed HIV to learn their status so they can access HIV care and treatment to stay healthy and keep from passing HIV to their partners.
In addition to supporting this Thunderclap, you can show your support:
Raise Awareness.
Take Action.
HIV testing is one of our most powerful tools in the fight against HIV, so thank you for supporting this year’s Thunderclap and the many activities for NHTD!

NPIN supports the exchange of information at the federal, state, and local levels, and it also serves as a repository for updates from CDC about HIV/AIDS, school health, STDs, TB, and viral hepatitis.
