End Mental Health Stigma

We’re launching a mental health campaign for young people which aims to change attitudes towards mental health and create a movement that brings everyone together in a bid to end stigma and discrimination. As the future generation, young people have the power to change attitudes and end discrimination towards people experiencing problems with their mental health.

Mental health problems are more common than many people realise. One in 10 young people will be affected by mental health problems - that’s three people in the average classroom. The effects are as real as a broken arm, even though there isn’t a sling or plaster cast to show for it. The shame and secrecy around mental health not only makes the issue harder to speak about but can lead us to exclude others, make assumptions and treat people in negative ways. Being able to talk about it openly, on the other hand, can take the taboo out of something that affects us all.

On 15th November 2017 help us share this message and get people talking about mental health. Together, #WeCanWeWill.
