Parenting with HIV

At the heart of every family is love. We believe that a parent's power to love isn't defined by their HIV status, and that being HIV+ should therefore not be a barrier to having a family.

Despite significant medical advances, increased awareness and the ability to live a full life with HIV, a social stigma still exists around people with HIV having a family. This stigma does not just affect the LGBT community; it is very much a mainstream issue.

P3’s diverse network of experts, parents and prospective parents are on a mission to help remove this stigma, debunk myths surrounding parenting with HIV and demonstrate that it is both possible and safe. Our ‘Positive Parenting’ campaign will look to challenge stereotypes and provide useful, up-to-date resources, to those with HIV who are looking to start a family, as well as those who just want to know more.

And we need you! Join our Thunderclap campaign and on World AIDS Day (Dec 1st), you'll share our video message that HIV shouldn't be a barrier to becoming a parent and help #EndHIVStigma.

The P3 Network
@p3parents

Established in 2014, The P3 Network aims to better support LGBT professionals who are looking to become parents or already have children. Previously, support wasn’t easy to access and what was required was either too niche for existing employee LGBT networks or too nuanced for traditional family networks - leaving the needs of professional parents and the organisations that supported them unmet.

P3 actively supports professionals in over 60 UK multinationals, government and regulatory agencies; providing access to an authentic, bespoke and diverse network of experts, parents and prospective parents.

We also help organisations and schools create inclusive work environments, and run several community events supporting LGBT families more broadly - promoting an agenda of diversity, acceptance and love - from the family home through to the school yard, board room and beyond.

At its core, P3 believes that family is family - irrespective of sexual orientation or family make up - and that at the heart of every family is love. And love doesn’t discriminate.

We represent non-traditional families.
