"Kyle Goes to Prom" Movie

**Watch a SNEAK PEEK here: http://bit.ly/2nbQQoW**

WHAT IS THIS ABOUT?

Currently, there is NO CURE for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. With your help, we can finish this movie and raise awareness for DMD research while encouraging boys who suffer from this deadly disease.

Movie Synopsis: At the tender age of twenty-one, Kyle Cox is already approaching the average life expectancy for boys with Duchenne. When his five best friends realized this, they set out to plan an epic “bucket list” road trip for him. The problem is, they’ve scheduled the trip right when Kyle is supposed to take his hometown friend, Elizabeth, to her senior prom in El Paso, TX. Now, they only have one week to drive across the country, cross off every item on Kyle’s list, and get him home in time for prom.

It doesn’t take long for the fast-paced trip to turn into a series of hilarious hijinks. But amidst a rough night at the casino, a failed attempt to consume a gigantic steak, and a nearly disastrous white-water rafting adventure, the guys strengthen their bond as friends, learn a lot about themselves, and come to better understand Kyle’s life as a disabled person.

"Kyle Goes to Prom" uses hilarious, light-hearted moments to drive home deeper messages. Besides the fact that the film will help raise much-needed awareness for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, the genuine bond between Kyle and his five best friends will help all of us rethink how we interact with disabled people in our lives. Most importantly, watching Kyle’s dedication to glorifying God and bringing light to others, despite his condition, is enough to inspire anyone to get the most out of life.

WHY WE NEED YOU

Making a movie isn’t cheap, but our $50,000 goal is modest considering the scope of work ahead. Even though the trip has already happened, we still have additional footage to shoot (we'll need equipment, crew, and a rental space), plus months of editing, sound mixing, coloring, and scoring, and ultimately distribution. The number of hours needed to complete this project are OVERWHELMING. But your donation makes a huge difference.

Your help will be INSTRUMENTAL – your graciously donated dollars will fund the remaining production expenses of our film, which is scheduled to begin shooting January 2018. In other words, your support allows us to make the movie – and make it awesome.

HOW CAN I HELP?

Please consider DONATING.
Any help goes a long way – every dollar counts! Plus, we will be updating all backers throughout the process of making this film.

Spreading the word also goes a long way. Please join our Thunderclap and share this Generosity/IndieGoGo page far and wide on Facebook and Twitter - word-of-mouth also helps this campaign be successful.
