Thunderclap: #SpeakUp for better care

Help encourage more people to have their say on health and care.

The more that people share their ideas, experiences and concerns about NHS and social care, the more services can understand when improvements are needed.

That is why we are encouraging people to #SpeakUp in 2018 to help make services better for their communities.

Your voice is making a difference

We exist to help improve health and care by sharing people’s views with services on what works, what doesn’t and what people want from care in the future.

Thanks to people sharing their ideas and experiences with their local Healthwatch, services across England have made positive changes that benefit those who use them.

But, to make the biggest difference, we need to hear from more people.

Two ways you can help

No matter how big or small the issue, we want to hear about it. If it matters to you, it's very likely that it matters to somebody else.

Thank you to everyone who took part in our #SpeakUp Thunderclap.

Thanks to your support, we’ve reached 1,018,463 people to encourage them to share their views on health and social care – that’s 60% more people than we reached last year and 53% more people/organisations who supported the campaign.

We’ll continue to highlight each issue from our top five priorities until the end of January, and we hope you’ll continue to help us spread the word on social media and encourage people to #SpeakUp. You can also download a poster to help promote your local Healthwatch.
