#FMLA25 and #PaidLeaveMeans

As the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) turns 25, the country is in the midst of an extraordinary, long-overdue reckoning about equality and respect for women. To secure a future in which all women and all people can live and work with dignity, we need policies that value women and care – and that’s what real paid leave means. It means building on the FMLA’s promise of more equitable and family friendly workplaces and, in doing so, recognizing that our businesses and our economy are stronger when people can care for themselves and their families while keeping their jobs. It’s past time for real paid leave for all.
