by Epilepsy Scotland category: Health
Epilepsy is so much more than seizures. Having a seizure is the part we see, but what comes after and before often remains invisible. A seizure, even if there is no injury, can leave a person feeling unwell, tired, sore and out of sorts for hours, sometimes even days. Next time you see someone have a seizure, bear in mind that it's not simply a case of 'seizure over, get up and go'
We are a national charity supporting the 55,000 people living with epilepsy in Scotland, and their families. We do this through our helpline service, information provision, welfare rights support, wellbeing programme, youth and family service, training, awareness raising and policy work.
