"The world needs each child."
When children receive unconditional love and acceptance, they can give to others the best of what is already within each of them. As we have all witnessed over the past month, youth can change the world for the better.
At Aaron's Presents, we tell kids they are ready to do this NOW, exactly as they are! Since 2014, over 800 children as young as 7 have taken us up on our offer of individualized mentoring, resources and logistical help they needed to carry out an idea of their own that positively impacts at least one other person, animal or the environment. Through real-life experiences in the larger community that they themselves have envisioned and planned, they empower themselves by tapping into their own unique qualities, and find purpose and self-worth in the process.
As a proud Charity Warrior, we are fighting everyday to raise up a generation of youth who act on behalf of the less fortunate, youth who speak out and engage in the larger world; youth who sow seeds of peace and goodness and pay attention to the needs of others, and youth who are agents of change in their communities. We are fighting to develop in youth a sense of purpose, self-worth, compassion, human connectedness and gratitude that will combat the epidemics of depression, anxiety, purposeless, loneliness and hopelessness.
Inspired by the tiny but mighty life of my son, Aaron Makaio Schneider (June 19-27, 2013), I founded Aaron’s Presents and have personally experienced the sense of purpose, joy and healing that comes from turning our focus to the needs and beauty of others.
We are competing in the Charity Warriors Challenge fundraising accelerator and competition for women leaders of MA-based nonprofits. Please support our Thunderclap campaign ASAP and we could win $10,000 to be able to support more kids! For a small but growing organization like ours, this win would make a HUGE difference!! Thank you!!
I get kids to think outside themselves and do something good for others. This is the key to purpose and self-worth. and I believe that kids who possess these two things are the key to a better world and future.
