STOP the Pain & Opioid Crisis

The chronic pain and opioid crisis is the single most costly US health problem ever – costing more than a Trillion dollars per year. Thirty percent of Americans have pain most days and more than 115 Americans die every day due to opioid-related overdoses. To solve these problems we need increased research to discover new therapies that treat pain effectively, and that are safe and non-addictive.

Take Action. Send a pre-formatted email to your members of Congress urging them to support this bill (S.2260 / H.R.4733).

  • Thank YOU

    March 21, 2018
Thank you all for your participation in the Thunderclap campaign this past week. Over the course of 7 days we gained 251 supporters allowing us to share our message with approximately 680,000 people last evening at 7:00PM EST/4:00PM PST.

Over the next few days, we will be monitoring our headacheadvocacy.org site to see how many folks actually clicked through and took the action to email their members of Congress. As you interact with your individual social media audiences about this post over the next few days, please encourage them to TAKE ACTION and send those emails. Every voice counts.

Together, we are making a difference.
  • 10 Hours to Launch

    March 20, 2018
Great job everyone! We hit (and exceeded) our secondary goal of getting to 200 supporters. With just 10 more hours until the campaign launches, can we hit our final goal? We want to gain a social reach of 1,000,000! That means we need more supporters.

Please continue to share the message with your friends up until 7:00PM EST today. Encourage them to JOIN the Thunderclap themselves.

At 7:00PM EST we blast off! We'll light up facebook and twitter with our message and hope to see lots of folks sending emails to their members of Congress.

Thank you again for your support on this important initiative.
  • 2 Days to go - let's increase our reach!

    March 17, 2018
Thank you all so much for helping to share our message. We've got two more days to go until launch day. As of Sunday night, we were over 150 supporters with a social reach of almost 600,000 people.

Millions of people deal with migraine and cluster headache disease each day. Let's get a few more to help spread the word about the importance of this legislation. Together, we should make it a goal to get to a 200 supporters and/or a social reach of 1,000,000 people.

Reach out to one friend or family member today and ask them to support our Thunderclap.

  • 100 Supporters - Let's go for 100 more!

    March 14, 2018
Thank you so much to everyone for joining our Thunderclap! We have hit our initial goal of 100 supporters within the first 24 hours. Let's keep up the great momentum and see if we can add another 100 before the campaign closes out in 5 more days.
