In early 2017, 11 planning commitee members voted unanimously against Aldi's plans for this site in Great Barr, Birmingham.
Instead of accepting that local decision, Aldi Stores Ltd have appealed to the government, and this woodland, which is adjacent to Queslett Nature Reserve (A SINC - Site of importance for nature conservation), is under threat once more.
There is already an Asda superstore opposite this site, an Aldi store half a mile a way and two more Aldi stores within 3 miles!
The Call to Action:
The appeal is due to be heard on 1st and 2nd May 2018.
