Aldi! Leave these TREES ALONE!

The Story

In early 2017, 11 planning commitee members voted unanimously against Aldi's plans for this site in Great Barr, Birmingham.

Instead of accepting that local decision, Aldi Stores Ltd have appealed to the government, and this woodland, which is adjacent to Queslett Nature Reserve (A SINC - Site of importance for nature conservation), is under threat once more.

There is already an Asda superstore opposite this site, an Aldi store half a mile a way and two more Aldi stores within 3 miles!

The Call to Action:

The appeal is due to be heard on 1st and 2nd May 2018.

1. PLEASE SIGN this NEW UK PETITION,
which closes on 30th April 2018, to SHOW the STRENGTH of LOCAL & NATIONAL OPPOSITION to Aldi's plans for this site.

2. PLEASE SUPPORT and SHARE THIS THUNDERCLAP using your Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr accounts. It's free and easy to add your support. By joining this campaign you will be raising awareness of the issue and petition, providing greater protection for this site and its trees.

YOU ALL HAVE THE POWER TO PROTECT NATURE!
PLEASE USE THAT POWER NOW - by SIGNING THE UK PETITION and ADDING YOUR SUPPORT TO THIS THUNDERCLAP.

THANK YOU
.
