Women and girls in STEM

In the Year of Engineering, we are launching the Women in STEM campaign with WISE, Milkround and the British Science Association to challenge the gender gap and to showcase the opportunities available for girls considering STEM careers.

Join us in promoting the issue of diversity in STEM and together we can propel positive change within these industries.

British Science Association

“We want to transform the relationship people have with science. This involves diversifying it, reaching underrepresented audiences, such as girls, and increasing the number of people engaged with it. Science belongs to and affects us all, so it’s vitally important that women have ownership of it too.”

WISE

"WISE and our members inspire girls to choose maths, physics and computing. WISE members attract, retain, develop and progress female talent in their companies. Our mission – gender parity in the UK’s scientific, technology and engineering workforce – from classroom to boardroom."

Milkround

"Milkround understands that the STEM industry must be diverse, to allow the full range of talent to truly shine. By supporting, encouraging and celebrating women in STEM, and highlighting the spectrum of opportunities out there for women who have not yet embarked on their careers, we can begin making change."
