WEAAD 2018

We all deserve to lead happy and healthy lives free from abuse as we age, yet older people from all walks of life are mistreated more often than we think.

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) on June 15th every year is an opportunity to raise awareness about elder abuse, why it occurs, and what we can do to stop it.

Please join us and show the world that we all deserve justice, no matter our age. Your voice will join the National Center on Elder Abuse, Administration for Community Living, Social Security Administration, and elder justice professionals and advocates across the globe who are committed to a society free of abuse and neglect.

Visit the WEAAD microsite for more information and resources to engage your community, educate others, and empower people to take action to end elder abuse.

Follow and use the hashtag #WEAAD to share additional messages and graphics.
