Families Belong Together

Earlier this month, Hispanic Federation co-sponsored a National Day of Action for Children in response to the the Trump administration’s most recent immigration tactics that allow for and encourage the abhorrent practice of separating children from their parents at the border. In addition to promoting marches and actions around the country to call attention to this crisis, we are asking you to take action today by calling your Senator and demanding that Congress end these cruel practices.  In the span of three weeks, 638 parents traveling with 658 young children were separated at the border. When addressing the policy, US Attorney General Jeff Sessions said, “If people don’t want to be separated from their children, they should not bring them with them.”

Congress has the power to stop these inhumane practices. Please, take action now to end these immoral, hurtful and horrendous policies.

Take action by Calling your Senator: Call 1-662-269-0962 to connect to your senator. When connected, say: “Hi, my name is [YOUR NAME] and my zip code is [YOUR ZIP]. I’m calling to urge the Senator to stand publicly against the Trump administration’s family separation policy and to use all of Congress’ authority to stop separating immigrant children from their families.”

The apathy and lack of respect for family that this administration is displaying is embarrassing for our nation and should be admonished. Take action now to show that #FamiliesBelongTogether!
