Reinstate #TheCargill14

Fourteen workers were recently dismissed at Cargill’s operations in Bursa-Orhangazi, Turkey on April 17, 2018 while organizing a union at their workplace. Instead of respecting its workers' right to organize a union, Cargill--Turkey has responded to workers seeking to exercise their rights with dismissals, intimidation, and attempts to persuade workers not to join the union.  

These dismissals for union activity are in violation of core ILO Conventions C087 Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organize and C098 Right to Organise and Collective Bargaining. These dismissals are also in direct violation of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, which are clear on the responsibility of enterprises to respect the right of their employees to be represented by a trade union and reference ILO Conventions 87 and 98.

Support these 14 workers by telling Cargill to respect workers' rights and reinstate the Cargill 14!

Catorce trabajadores/as fueron despedidos en las operaciones de Cargill en Bursa-Orhangazi, Turquía, el 17 de abril de 2018, mientras organizaban un sindicato en su lugar de trabajo. En lugar de respetar el derecho de sus trabajadores/as a organizar un sindicato, Cargill - Turquía respondió a los trabajadores/as que intentan ejercer sus derechos con despidos, intimidación e intentos de persuadir a los trabajadores/as para que no se afilien al sindicato.

Estos despidos por actividad sindical violan los convenios fundamentales de la OIT 87 Libertad sindical y protección del derecho de sindicación y 98 Derecho de sindicación y negociación colectiva. Estos despidos también violan directamente las Directrices de la OCDE para las empresas multinacionales, que son claras sobre la responsabilidad de las empresas de respetar el derecho de sus empleados a estar representados por un sindicato y los Convenios 87 y 98 de referencia de la OIT.

¡Apoyen a estos 14 trabajadores/as y diga a Cargill que respete los derechos de los trabajadores/as y que restituya a los 14 de la Cargill!

Quatorze travailleurs-euses des opérations de Cargill à Bursa-Orhangazi, Turquie, ont récemment été licencié-e-s le 17 avril 2018 pour avoir cherché à former un syndicat sur leur lieu de travail. Au lieu de respecter le droit des travailleurs-euses à s’organiser en syndicat, Cargill-Turquie a réagi aux tentatives faites par les travailleurs-euses d’exercer leurs droits par des licenciements, des intimidations et en tentant de les persuader de ne pas adhérer au syndicat.

Ces licenciements pour activités syndicales contreviennent aux conventions fondamentales de l’OIT, n°87 sur la liberté syndicale et la protection du droit syndical, et n°98 sur le droit d’organisation et de négociation collective. Ces licenciements constituent également une violation directe des Principes directeurs de l’OCDE à l’intention des entreprises multinationales, qui énoncent clairement l’obligation des entreprises à respecter le droit de leurs employé-e-s à être représenté-e-s par un syndicat en se référant à ces conventions 87 et 98.

Soyez solidaires de ces 14 travailleurs-euses en disant à Cargill de respecter les droits des travailleurs-euses et de réintégrer les 14 de Cargill !

14 işçi, Cargill’in Bursa-Orhangazi fabrikasında sendika örgütlenmesi yürüttükleri için 17 Nisan 2018 tarihinde haksız yere işten çıkarıldı. Cargill-Türkiye, işçilerinin sendika kurma hakkına saygı göstermek yerine, işçilerin haklarını kullanma arayışına işten çıkarmalar, tehditler ve işçileri sendikaya üye olmamaya ikna etme girişimleri ile karşılık vermiştir.

Cargill’deki sendikal nedenle işten çıkarmalar, ILO’nun temel haklara ilişkin 87 No’lu Sendika Özgürlüğü ve Sendikalaşma Hakkının Korunması Sözleşmesi ile 98 No’lu Örgütlenme ve Toplu Pazarlık Hakkı Sözleşmesini ihlal etmektedir. Bu işten çıkarmalar aynı zamanda, ILO 87 ve 98 No’lu sözleşmelerine atıfları ile işletmelerin çalışanların bir sendika tarafından temsil edilmesi hakkına saygı göstermesi yükümlülüğü konusunu açık bir şekilde ele alan Çok Uluslu Şirketler için İktisadi İşbirliği ve Gelişme Örgütü (OECD) Rehber’ine da aykırıdır.

Bu haksız yere işten çıkarılmış 14 işçiye, Cargill'i işçi haklarına saygı duymaya ve Cargill 14'ü işe geri almaya davet ederek destek ol.
