SAVE YOUR PINT - Mass Lobby

On Wednesday 12th December over 1000 CAMRA members, publicans, brewers and beer lovers will descend on Parliament to meet with their MP and demand an end to the beer duty escalator.

Beer tax goes up automatically by 2% above inflation every year – known as the Beer Duty Escalator – and has raised beer tax by 42% since 2008. A third of your pint now goes to the Government in Duty and VAT – on average that is now £1 of the cost of your pint down the pub

This tax is causing added pressure to already hard-pressed pubs which are closing at a  rate of 18 every week.

We want to show Government that the strength of feeling on this issue reaches beyond those who can join us in Westminster on the 12th December.

So please join this Thunderclap to save pubs, save jobs and SAVE YOUR PINT.

CAMRA

CAMRA is a not for profit consumer organisation that campaigns for real ale and well run community pubs. CAMRA represents over 145K members of the public who all want to stop the decline in great community pubs. This Thunderclap supports our physical lobby taking place on the day at Westminster where publicans, CAMRA members and Beer lovers will come together to lobby their MP.
