There is a growing population of Africans in the Australasian region. Africa Fashion Festival will be an annual event that celebrates Africa’s diverse and colourful culture, creative talents and showcase opportunities the continent to offer. We hope to empower new generation of Africans and other nationals of African heritage to connect, embrace and proudly share their culture.
By launching Africa Fashion Festival, we aim to create a social platform that promotes, educates and celebrates Africa's fashion industry and give attendees an experience and a different perspective of the continent of Africa. A significant part of this event is the promotion of emerging African designers and artists.
Our vision is to profile the burgeoning creative
industry in Africa to encourage economic advancement, create employment, partnerships
and broaden the commercial base of the designers in the Australasia creative
industry.
A key differentiator of Africa Fashion Festival
New Zealand is that, it’s an ethical initiative with a development focus - think 'fashion for development'.
By supporting this social enterprise initiative you will help advance one of these three causes:
Please endorse our project and support us to raise funds to launch Africa Fashion Festival in New Zealand in May 2014. Support a
worthy cause today and feel good you made a difference in the world.
Thank you for helping make distant dreams
and passions a reality!

I have a strong interest in public policy, philanthropy and fashion. In 2011, I launched a social enterprise organisation ADJOAA, to promote emerging and established African designers. I believe this enterprise provides an avenue that combines all three passions to support a worthy cause and make a bigger difference. Through this social enterprise organisation, we can create employment, empower young women, give talented young people foothold in the fashion industry and inculcate the value and essence of reading in young people from an early age to unlock their potential. I believe this is a great social investment and a platform that celebrates cultural diversity while promoting intellectual and economic development. I am a firm believer that together our little contributions can make a greater impact.
