We need an #ArmsTreaty now!

Plain and simple: The global weapons trade is out of control.

Right now, human rights abusers, terrorists, dictators, and war criminals have nearly unrestricted access to AK-47s, grenades, tanks, fighter jets, and all the ammo they could ever want. Because of this, millions of people are killed, injured, raped, and forced to flee from their homes every year.

The unregulated global weapons trade adds fuel to the fire, but this month, the world has a chance to put that fire out.

In the coming weeks, negotiators from around the world will be at the United Nations to resume talks on an Arms Trade Treaty that can help bring the irresponsible weapons trade under control.

In the time it takes you to read this, another person will have died from armed violence. You can do something about it.

Support the Arms Trade Treaty and tell governments to adopt a bulletproof treaty that saves lives and protects livelihoods.

Nada a relatar!

The Control Arms campaign is a global civil society alliance calling for a bulletproof Arms Trade Treaty. The treaty must be a global, legally binding agreement that will ease the suffering caused by irresponsible transfers of conventional weapons and ammunition.
