Democracy is based on participation. Do your part to help spread the word about National Voter Registration Day on September 25th by pledging your support. Through national awareness campaigns the news media, political parties and individuals like you are gathering together to raise awareness about voter registration.
Make sure you are registered to vote. Encourage your social connections to check their registration status as well.
Our call to action is followed by a link to www.turbovote.org. Turbovote is a non-profit, non-partisan organization simplifying the voter registration and information process. After signing up they will keep track of your state and district's voter deadlines and rules and remind you when it's time to do your part. Did you know that in 30 states and the District of Columbia you can vote from home? It's never been easier!
According to a recent study, the last election had an estimated 340,000 additional votes that were made as a result of social media campaigns, such as this one, which encouraged people to vote. Together, we can increase that number. Your encouragement can litterally swing the election, so get your friends, family and social connections involved.
This broadcast is a non-partisan message to make sure citizens are registered to vote. Tech 4 Obama is a group of leaders in the tech field supporting the Obama 2012 campaign. To learn more about the organization, please visit www.tech4obama.com. No matter what your affiliation, do your part and vote.
